Every mark below is one native sapling. There are 600 of them, and they all fit into a rectangle ten metres deep and twenty metres wide — a strip of ground the size of eight parked cars.
That is the whole idea of the Miyawaki method. Planted this close, the saplings compete for light instead of spreading sideways, and the plot closes into real woodland in three years rather than thirty.

Ordinary, forgotten ground
Not parks. The plots go into the land nobody wanted — with education institutes, a strip next to a government school boundary wall in West Delhi, a dumping corner of another school at Gulabi Bagh, an unused verge in a college in Gurgaon. Ground that was carrying rubble the season before.
The Foundation rebuilds the soil first, then plants with whoever turns up: residents, schoolchildren, office teams on a Saturday. Three-years later nobody waters it. It simply keeps going.

One percent of revenue, not of profit — so it does not wait for a good quarter. One percent is a small number and we would rather say it plainly than dress it up. It is what a small-batch kitchen can promise and never have to pause.

Our packaging
Glass and cork where we can, but our outer cartons and courier packaging are not yet where we want them. We are testing alternatives and will say so here when they change.

Delivery emissions
We ship across India through third-party couriers and have little control over how those parcels travel. We have not offset this, and we would rather admit it than round it off.

Our ingredient trail
We know our main suppliers by name. We do not yet know every farm behind every ingredient. Mapping that is the work of the coming year.
You don't need us in the middle
Buying from Re3U sends one percent along. But the Foundation would rather have your Sunday morning. They plant with volunteers all over Delhi NCR, and they take donations directly.
