The signature ingredient
Tamanu Oil
A nut that is left to cure for weeks before it gives up its oil.
Tamanu nuts are harvested, opened and carefully dried before they are pressed. In traditional processing, this can take six to eight weeks — a slow process that allows the kernels to cure before the oil is extracted.
What comes out is thick, deep green and unmistakably itself. Tamanu oil has a long history of topical use across Pacific Island communities, traditionally used in skin rituals for burns, injuries and other skin concerns.
In our Restorative Salve, tamanu is surrounded by nourishing butters, botanical oils and flower-infused jojoba to create a protective layer for skin that needs extra care.

How to use
Three steps, as often as needed
Warm it first
Take a little and press it between your fingertips until it softens and melts. This helps it spread easily.
Press, don't rub
Apply to heels, elbows, knuckles, cuticles or other dry, rough areas. Gently press it into the skin rather than rubbing vigorously.
Leave it overnight
For deeper care, apply before bed. Cover heels with socks or hands with soft cotton gloves and let the salve work while you sleep.

Kokum butter gives it a firmer texture than a softer butter-based balm. For daytime use, apply a small amount directly to the area that needs care rather than applying it broadly.
Can I use it on my face?
Yes, on dry patches or areas that need extra care. It is a concentrated salve, so it is best used sparingly rather than as an all-over night cream. For everyday facial hydration, the Ghee Hydration Cream is the lighter choice.

Skin naturally loses water throughout the day. When it is very dry, rough or cracked, a protective layer can help slow that moisture loss and give the skin a better chance to stay hydrated.
The Restorative Salve is an anhydrous formula — made without water, using a concentrated blend of plant butters, botanical oils and carefully chosen botanicals. Its rich, occlusive texture allows it to sit on the skin and help reduce moisture loss.
Kokum, shea and avocado butters create the foundation, while tamanu, rosehip, perilla and infused jojoba oils help condition and soften dry skin. Calendula, oatmeal, helichrysum and chamomile bring a soothing botanical touch to areas that need extra care.
